Sam Houston State University, a member institution in The Texas State University System, is organized academically into five colleges: Arts and Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Education and Applied Science, Business Administration, and Criminal Justice. Students are offered an extensive range of bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as the Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice, the Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education, the Doctor of Education in Reading, and the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. The faculty and the University are recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally.

ACCREDITATION

Sam Houston State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor’s and master’s degrees and the following doctoral degrees: Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, the Ph.D. in Forensic Clinical Psychology, and the Ph.D. in Counselor Education. The College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

TUITION:  $ 13,000 per academic year
BOARDING AND LODGING: $ 5,000 per academic year

International students can apply for scholarships and assistantships.  Availability and requirements vary by degree and departments, but high scores on standardized tests such as GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and SAT (for undergraduate students) are required.
