Northern Arizona University is a fully accredited,
state-supported institution with 13,329 full-time
students on its main campus. Since 1899, the
University has made a major commitment to
undergraduate education, and its goal has been to
preserve a friendly campus atmosphere and close
student-faculty relationships through classroom
teaching of the highest quality and faculty guidance
for each student.
The University is composed of the Colleges of Arts and
Science, Business Administration, Ecosystem Science
and Management, Engineering and Technology, Fine and
Performing Arts, Health Professions, and Social and
Behavioral Sciences; the Schools of Communication and
Hotel and Restaurant Management; and the Center of
Excellence in Education. Undergraduate, master's, and
doctoral degrees are offered in more than 150 major
areas and in a number of interdisciplinary and
pre-professional curricula. A graduate degree is
available in physical therapy.
The Northern Arizona University Centers in London,
England; Tübingen, Germany; Granada, Spain;
Montpellier, France; and Shanghai and Beijing, China,
offer students an opportunity for exciting enrichment
programs for one or two semesters in Europe or Asia.
Students may also study for one semester in Cuernavaca,
Mexico. Through field trips, students explore the history,
literature, and culture of these regions. All students except
freshmen may enroll.
